Longest Distance Travelled to RallyRobert WoodsSapphire MK I1C341798 A new perpetual trophy for the person who travelled the longest distance to attend the Rally was awarded to Robert Woods who came from Port Moresby to Sydney by plane. His car was garaged at Wellington NSW and after picking it up, he travelled via Melbourne, Hobart and Adelaide and then back to Cooma to attend the event (Robert has obviously a very poor sense of direction and/or no GPS). The Mk1 Sapphire travelled around 4,200 kilometres on this journey.
